Just wanted to share this attack efficiency analysis that I’ve done on the Champions Cup final between La Rochelle and Toulouse.

In this graphic I’ve measured:

  • how many times each team entered the opposition 22
  • how effective they were at coming away with points
  • accuracy from the tee
  • and cards – just to see how they impacted both team’s scoring ability.

Couple of the interesting takeaways from a La Rochelle perspective where that they had the most chances to win this game, and actually scored more points after the Botia red card.

Toulouse on the other hand did very well to stay in touch considering they only got close to La Rochelle’s tryline once in the first 43 minutes, but were extremely efficient at scoring throughout the game.

If you’ve any comments, or feedback on stats that you think could add to graphics like this in future, feel free to let me know.
