“A Game of Kick Tennis Within a Game of Chess”: The opening minutes of England vs Wales

Speaking about the England-Wales game at half-time on Irish commentary, Ronan O’Gara described it as “a game of kick tennis within a game of chess”.

This video looks to analyse the tactical approach of both teams during the first 4 minutes of that half, show how the kicking battle was won on the ground as much as in the air and examine how England turned pressure into points for their first try.
